Application Procedures

The Lesley Family Foundation welcomes applications from eligible organizations whose mission and activities align with the priorities of the foundation.

Applicants should be familiar with the programs previously funded by the Foundation, and be prepared to explain how their work expands or improves upon previously-funded efforts.

How to Apply

The Foundation accepts applications through its online application form.

Only applications submitted online will be accepted. Mailed, hand-delivered, faxed, or emailed applications will not be acknowledged.

Application Deadline

Applications for the annual grant cycle are due on September 1st of each year. All applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision by December 1st. Successful applicants will receive their grant by December 31st.

Required Materials

As part of the online application, applicants should be prepared to upload the following required materials:

  • Cover Letter
    A brief letter outlining the request for support, signed by the organization’s leadership
  • Operating Budget
    The organization-wide budget for the current fiscal year, including sources of support
  • Board List
    A list of directors or trustees and their affiliations
  • IRS Determination Letter
    A copy of the current IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
  • Audited Financial Statement
    A copy of the most recent audited financial statement
